Welcome to Arik Kislin
Arik Kislin - Gansevoort Hotel Group, LLC
Currently the principal of Linx Industries, a diversified investment industry, Arik Kislin has continually demonstrated success. While Linx Industries has a significant stake in several different businesses including financial services and aviation and is doing quite well, the properties developed with Gansevoort Hotel Group, LLC. are Kislin's passion.
A Valuable Start
As early as 1992, Arik Kislin was a principal in New York City real estate firm that developed and managed 3.6 million square feet. Fortunately for Kislin and the city, 1.5 million of those square feet were the Chelsea Market Complex - the property that initiated the conversion of Manhattan's Meatpacking District. The incredible transformation achieved by Arik Kislin and his team moved the area from an industrial enclave to one of New York City's most prestigious and sought after neighborhoods. Chelsea Market later was sold to Angelo, Gordon & Co.
Kislin's interest in the area, though, remained strong, and in 2001, Kislin partnered with the Achenbaum family and became the principal developer of the Gansevoort Hotel. The Gansevoort Hotel became the property largely responsible for additional transformations of the Meatpacking District turning it into the major international fashion, dining, and nightlife destination. The Gansevoort Hotel Group, LLC. was born, and Kislin continues to lead the group toward success.
Arik Kislin is currently involved in developing two other locations for Gansevoort Hotel Group, LLC. - one in Miami and one in Manhattan's Park Avenue South area. Miami and Park Avenue South will be hotel condominium combinations. The partnership continues to look for opportunities for additional expansion in the U.S. and abroad and boasting the highly recognizable Gansevoort brand, they're sure to turn other areas into the successful ventures investors have come to expect.
Flying Higher
While Gansevoort Hotel Group, LLC. consumes much of Arik Kislin's attention, the skies also play a role. In 2004, Kislin became part of the general aviation industry with an equity investment in a small charter management company. As with many of Kislin's ventures, the business developed into a multifaceted firm that includes a fleet of private jets, hanger facilities, and a full service aviation maintenance and fueling facility for the private sector use. With expansion in both New York and Florida in the works, the company is gaining ground fast.
On a more personal note, Arik Kislin is a member of the New York Friars Club. As both a lifetime player and fan, one of Kislin's most important hobbies is baseball. Arik Kislin is married with two children and enjoys spending quality time with them, playing tennis and yachting.
